Our Pilates Certifications and Affiliations

	Personal Best Pilates Instructor Academy's comprehensive equipment certification exceeds the requirements to sit for the Certified Pilates Teacher (CPT) examination offered by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). The Pilates Method Alliance is a not-for-profit professional association dedicated to the teachings of Joseph H. and Clara Pilates. The PMA's mission is to protect the public by establishing certification and continuing education standards for Pilates professionals. The PMA has followed the necessary steps outlined by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies to produce a test which could achieve third party accreditation through their prestigious organization. The Certified Pilates Teacher (CPT) examination has been designed to measure skill and knowledge of a person who has received comprehensive Pilates teacher training to include 500 hours or more of lecture self-study, apprenticeship and assistant teaching hours.
